Fixes For Xbox Error code 0x8924000D

Fix 1: Perform A Full Power Cycle

The first thing we suggest is to power cycle your device along with your network hardware. In order to do so follow the steps given below.

  • Shut down your gaming device and router.
  • Disconnect your device and router from the power source.
  • Wait for around 10 minutes.
  • Then reconnect your device and router to the power source.
  • Restart your device and internet.
  • Check if the error persists.

Fix 2: Check Your NAT Type

If you are done with the power cycling of your system but the error persists then check your current NAT type. In case your current NAT type is strict then consider switching to normal or moderate NAT type.

  • Tap the Xbox button to access the guide.
  • Select Profile & system.
  • Select Settings.
  • Select General.
  • Select Network settings.
  • Now under the Current Network Status, you can see the Nat Type field where you find the current NAT type.
    • If it shows Open NAT, you can free connect with players on the same network and outside your local network.
    • If it shows Moderate NAT, then this means that communication between devices in the same network will be more limited. This may cause issues while connecting with some players or while hosting a match.
    • If it shows Strict NAT, then this means that you can freely connect with the devices within the same local network but may face issues while connecting with players outside your local network.

Fix 3: Switch To An Alternate DNS

Next, you can consider using an alternate DNS server. In our research, there were many players who were able to resolve this issue by switching to a different DNS server.
In case you need assistance with setting up a DNS server on your Xbox console then you can refer to this guide.

Fix 4: Disable QOS Tagging

If the error is still showing even after switching to an alternate DNS then consider turning off QoS Tagging under your Xbox console settings.

  • Go to settings.
  • Select General.
  • Select Network settings.
  • Select Advanced Settings.
  • Select QoS tagging settings, and consider disabling it, in case it is enabled.

Fix 5: Switch Between Enabling Or Disabling UPnP

Above we have tried Xbox-related issues. In case you tried the above steps but still encountered the issue then we suggest you try some network-related issues, and we suggest you to start by switching between enabling or disabling UPnP.

To access the UPnP settings you have to first login to your router to access router settings. Once you accessed your router configuration settings, consider enabling or disabling UPnP. After making the changes to the router settings, consider restarting it, and then check for the error.

Fix 6: Switch Between IPv6 And IPv4

If the error is still not going away then consider switching between IPv6 and IPv4 under your router configurations. It is the same as accessing UPnP. Simply access the router settings, and switch between IPv6 and IPv4.
