Fix 1: Try Unchecking IPv6
If you are playing on a PC then consider unchecking the IPv6 under the internet settings as we have found this is one of the reasons this error shows up.
Here is how to uncheck IPv6:
- Go to the Taskbar and Right-click on the Ethernet icon.
- Select Open Network and Internet settings.
- Select Ethernet.
- Select Change adapter options.
- Then go to the connection which you are currently using and Right-click on it.
- Select Properties.
- Uncheck Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
Fix 2: Try Disabling Crossplay
If you are not trying to play crossplay then we suggest you to disable the crossplay feature and then check if the error still persists.
In our research, we have found that this error is caused by the crossplay feature so if you are not playing crossplay then there is no harm in disabling it and this may also resolve the error.
Fix 3: Check If Your NAT Type Is Strict
Next, we suggest you to check if you or the other player have a strict NAT type, if so then we advise switching over open or moderate NAT type, and then checking for the error again.
Fix 4: Do You Have The Global Version Of Game?
We also have found that this error may also show up when you or the other player live in a different region but both or one of you don’t have the global version of the game.
