For Windows

  • Launch your Opera Browser and on the top-left corner hand of the browser, click on the Opera logo button.

For Mac

On Mac, you can press and hold on the shortcut keys + , or click on the Opera browser icon on the toolbar and under Preferences, you can find the Settings page.


How To Update Opera?

For Windows

  • Open the Opera Menu by clicking on the Opera icon at the top-left corner of your browser.
  • Then, click on the Update & Recovery… option from the drop-down menu list.
  • Click on the Check for Update button and if any updates are available, the Update button should be available. 
  • Click on the Update button and give it a few moments to be updated. 

For Mac

  • Click on Opera on the main menu toolbar.
  • Then, click on the Update & Recovery… option.
  • Next, click on the Check for Update button and if any updates are available, then click on the Update button to download and install the recent updates.

How To Clear Opera Cookies And Site Data?

For Windows

  • Launch the Opera browser.
  • Then, Press and hold Ctrl + H to open your browser’s history page.
  • Next, select the desired time range and what types of cache data you want to clear or delete.
  • Once you finish selecting your desired options, click on the Clear data option.

For Mac

  • Click on Opera on the main menu.
  • Then, from the drop-down menu list, click on the Clear Browsing Data… option.
  • On the next pop-up menu, select and choose the time range and data you would like to clear and delete.
  • Lastly, click on the Clear Browsing data button.

How To Access Opera Private Window?

For Windows

  • Launch the browser app.
  • Then, head to the File option tab and from the drop-down menu list, select the New Private Window option to open Opera in a Private Window.
  • Or, you can also press and hold on the Ctrl + Shift + N button, after you launch the Opera Browser.

For Mac

  • You can either open the Private Window by heading to the File option and selecting the New Private Window from there as shown in the step above.
  • Or, you can press and hold the shortcut keys + Shift + N.

How To Find Downloads On Opera?

For Windows

  • On the Browser page, click on the Opera icon in the top-left corner to open the Opera menu.
  • From the drop-down menu list, click on Downloads option to view downloaded file and their respective locations. 

For Mac

  • Head to the Files options.
  • Under View option, you will be able to find the Downloads option.

How To Find Your Bookmarks On Opera?

For Windows

  • Launch the Opera Browser.
  • Then, press and hold on the Ctrl + Shift + B shortcut keys to open the Bookmarks page.

For Mac

  • Once you launch the Opera Browser, from the menu list on the top, select the Bookmarks tab and you can find all your bookmarks there in a hierarchical format.
  • Or, you can press and hold the shortcut keys Alt + + B to open the Bookmarks page.

How To Add Extensions On Opera?

  • Launch your Opera Browser.
  • Then, head to Opera’s official add-on website.
  • Search for your desired Opera add-ons or extensions and click on the Add option to add the particular add-on.

How To Remove Extensions On Opera?

For Windows and Mac

  • Go to your Opera browser menu
  • Then, select the Extension Manager option.
  • Click on the Disable option to disable an extension or click on the Remove option to permanently remove an extension from your browser.

How To Use Extensions Under Opera Private Mode?

For Windows and Mac

  • Launch the Opera browser and navigate to the following address: opera://extensions by typing it in the browser URL and searching for it.
  • Then, under the extension page, find the extension you want to allow in the private window and checkmark the Allow in incognito option under the particular add-on.
  • Also, checkmark the Allow access to search page results option as well.  

Or,

  • You can head to the Opera menu.
  • Then, from the drop-down menu list, select the Extensions option.
  • On the extensions page, checkmark the Allow in incognito option and Allow access to search page results option for the extensions you want to allow in the incognito mode for Opera.
