How To Access Router Settings?
Step: 1 Connect Your Device Over Internet
First, you have to connect your phone or laptop to your Wifi connection.
It is up to you whether you want to connect over a wireless or wired network but wired connections are more stable than wireless connection.
Step: 2 Open Your Network IP On Browser Address Bar
Next, go to your browser and open your network IP address on the browser address bar.
In case you do not know your IP address then follow the steps given below to find your network IP address.
Steps To Find Network IP On Windows 10
- Go to the Taskbar.
- Select the Wi-Fi network icon.
- Select Network settings.
- Select Wi-Fi.
- Select Advanced options.
- Go under Properties.
- Now next to the IPv4 address you can find your IP.
Steps To Find Network IP On Windows 8
- Go to the Search bar.
- Search for CMD.
- Select Command Prompt.
- Type ipconfig /all and press Enter.
- Look for your IPv4 Address or IP Address.
Steps To Find Network IP On MAC OS
For Older Versions MAC OS
- From the top left corner tap the Apple Icon.
- Select System Preferences.
- Select Network.
- Then from the left side select your Connection Type.
- Select Advanced.
- Tap on the TCP/IP button.
- Now look for your IPv4 Address or Router.
For Latest Version MAC OS
- Go to the Apple menu.
- Select System Settings.
- From the left side Select Network.
- Then select Wifi if you are using a wireless connection.
- Select Ethernet if you are using a wired connection.
- Then select Details next to your network.
- Scroll down to find your IP address.
Step: 3 Enter Your Username And Password
Once you open your network IP address under your browser address bar you will see the login page where you will need to enter your username and password for the network.
In case your router is new or in good condition then you can find the network username and password on the back of the router.
To find your network username and password you can also refer to Routerpasswords.com, or Google the Model Number of your router.
Step: 4 Inspect All The Settings
Once you enter the username and password for your Network login page, you can access all of your network settings. Depending upon what changes you need to make with your network you can perform the changes.
